As a component of the Capital Region BOCES School Support Services, the Grants Program has been providing full grant writing services to school districts for over seven years. The purpose of the Grants Program is to support BOCES’ mission in providing educational leadership, services and support to meet the needs of our students and school districts. Over the past five years, the grants
service has assisted districts in obtaining over $8 million of competitive federal, state and private grant funding to support local initiatives. Specific successful grant proposals include the following:
21st Century Community Learning Centers
Reading First
Even Start
Comprehensive School District Reform
New York State Learning Technology
Carol M. White Physical Education Program
Juvenile Mentoring Program
Child Abduction Prevention Education
New York State Parent-Child Library Services
U.S. Education Two-Way Bilingual Program
United Way Special Education Transition Program
Rotary Bridge Program
New York State Goals 2000 and Targeted Staff Development
Although the Capital Region BOCES’ Grants Program continues to offer full granting writing services, it has expanded to offer more diverse services that will meet the individual needs of school districts in New York State. One Stop Grants is specifically designed to give school districts the option of selecting
a level of service based on the demands of ever-tightening school budgets and
can be tailored to the district's current expertise in grant
development.
As with any new service, we strive to improve with time. Please help us in this effort! We have designed this site to respond to your grant needs. You can help us by providing your input by via email at or by completing the feedback form on this
site. Thank you for helping BOCES in its efforts to provide schools with tools they need to continue producing the "best-educated people in the world." (New York State Board of Regents Strategic Plan)
